Vula Zulu Cultural Package (Two Nights)

Vula Zulu is a celebration of Zulu culture at its most expressive; a revival of the ancient art of storytelling through the pulsations of the human body.

Established as a “living museum”, Vula Zulu discloses the sacred rites of passage and age-old traditions that define the descendants of King Shaka through one of Africa’s oldest forms of theatre: dance. Guests are invited to taste traditional beer, made privy to the intricacies of basket-weaving and observe the art of spear combat as the cry of the impi reverberates through the village. The traditions of the performers are preserved as they do not reside at the homestead but return to their homes in the tribal land after each public performance. Hand-crafted items are displayed in the on-site curio shop and guests can wander through the market at their leisure.

Please note that rates on this package are based on a travelling party of ten guests and that Vula Zulu performances cannot be discounted for smaller groups.

  • Two nights’ accommodation in the opulence of the main lodge OR the sophistication of the exclusive-use royal suite
  • Two daily game activities
  • All meals (breakfast, lunch, high tea, dinner)
  • House wine & water served with meals and on game drives
  • Vula Zulu cultural experience: tour of an authentic Zulu homestead and a pre- and post-war Impi performance in the outdoor boma

Cost per person in the luxury villas: R9 300.00 per person sharing for two nights*

Cost per person in the exclusive-use royal suite: R10 000.00 per person sharing for two nights**

* Accommodation available in the bush villas at the main lodge:

220m² private bush villa with master bedroom and spacious lounge area adjoined by interleading fireplace. Large bathroom with oval bath and concertina windows, luxurious indoor and outdoor showers. Private viewing deck with infinity pool and outdoor sala. Private boma for intimate and romantic dining under the magic African sky.

1000m² free-standing villa with five spacious and luxurious suites with en-suite bathroom (master suite has a private jacuzzi). Lounge with fireplace, entertainment room business centre, dining room, cellar, library, boma, heated swimming pool and viewing deck overlooking two watering holes frequented by the big five.
