Vula Zulu cultural experience has officially opened!
October 2004
Witness the phenomenal show of between fifty and one hundred Impi performing age-old battle dancing rites.

Vula Zulu, a traditional 'kraal' adjacent to Thanda Private Game Reserve, is the setting for guests to have the privilege of watching between fifty and one hundred Impis performing age-old dancing rites, as was done prior to and after battle. The 'kraal' has been authentically replicated with advice from the tribal community as well as historians specialising in Zulu culture, and guests will have the opportunity to visit the kraal, witness the Impi dancing and enjoy a traditional meal. The kraal has been built as a platform for African theatre, as the performers do not reside here, but return to their homes in the adjacent tribal land. All Vula Zulu guests will be contributing to the economic empowerment of the Zulu people, as well as maintaining an ongoing interest in the Zulu heritage.
